Art: Mitra Tabrizian “This is That Place” at Tate Britain
Print This PostJune 4, 2008 4:07 pm ListingsRunning concurrently with the Tate Britain’s Orientalist Art Exhibition is “This is That Place” an exhibition of Mitra Tabrizian’s photographic tableaux curated by Rose Issa.
The images explore the potent political subjects of modern Iran and act as a perfect counter position to the Orientalist Exhibition.
Given the current world order and fervent interest in art from the region, it makes one wonder why on earth didn’t the Tate give the exhbition headline position? Comments please!
